I take a holistic approach to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and emotional well being.

My stance is that to achieve freedom from emotional distress and other presenting problems you have to solve the underlying issues that cause these disturbances. By relying on medication on its own without therapy, you run a risk of masking these real issues and you are delaying real freedom from the issues you are trying to solve. Why prolong a presenting problem?

I am avid that CBT, diet and cardio vascular exercise will enhance your mood. I see these as being  vital tools in managing depression and anxiety and well being. My view is that if we manage differing health variables, the ones  that give us concern in life, then the chances of us being reactive in situations where depression and anxiety arise will diminish and be far less debilitating then they were before CBT and other life management tools.

I am working as a Private Therapist. I am an insured, qualified and ethical.

The Clients I work with include: Individuals, Referrals, Insurance Companies

I subscribe to BACP and their code of ethics and practices. I am also a member of the Institute of Counselling. I am currently contributing articles pertaining to CBT and dieting on  http://www.dietdebate.co.uk/health-blog/manage-your-diet-effectively-by-employing-cognitive-behavioural-techniques

I am Solutions Focused and will assist the Client in helping  to manage depression, anxiety, addictions, compulsions, unwanted thoughts, job loss and social anxiety and other emotional problems.

I have found, ( Personally), that in using CBT we can effect behavioural change that lasts. Promoting wellbeing, Mindfullness!

I firmly believe that CBT in conjunction with structured counselling and incorperating homework ,diet and exercise you can effectively achieve your desired changes and manage debilitating problems.

All the best- Paul
